This last quarter we introduced Clover Gives. We decided to give away the first month hosting payment from every new site purchase, and choose an awesome non-profit to donate to each quarter. I was supposed to blog on this at the beginning of the month, but due to the obvious development of the new Greenhouse, all social media exploits have been slow-going. Sorry about that- I’ll get better after April 28th!
This month’s non-profit Clover will be supporting is Gaba Bible Institute, based out of Kampala, Uganda. You can check their (rather well-designed) website at http://www.gbiuganda.org.
We just announced the winners of the Clover site and swag giveaway through our friends at the Echo Conference. Echo did a special giveaway for registrants into their conference (July 28th-30th in Dallas).
Here they are:
Free Clover Website & 1 Year of hosting: Jonathan Ramos – Jesus Exaltado
Clover “Be a part of something beautiful” T-Shirts:
Craig Mashburn – Southwest Church of Christ
Cody Jensen – CityChurch
Michael Garner – Northeast Baptist Church
Erico Rovayo – Faith Generation Youth Church

Congrats everyone. Those who won the T-Shirts better rock them at Echo.
If you are a techie in the church world, you should seriously consider attending the Echo Conference. These guys have worked their butts off to give you the best info and inspiration for you and your ministry.
Starting today (March 29th) we are offering $100 off every Clover website purchase. With Greenhouse 2.0 launching on April 28th, we thought the best way to celebrate is to give everyone a 10% discount on their new site purchase until we launch. Read More…
With the launch of the new Greenhouse we will (with your help) be providing users with the ability to have a seamless experience on their website in their own language. Although the Greenhouse will still be completely in English, each Clover website owner will have the ability in their Greenhouse Dashboard to change some of the static titles and phrases of the front end user sites… Most of which are in the Calendar and Media Player (i.e. “Monday”, “January”, etc.), as well some warning dialogue boxes and password protection items.
Clover is teaming up with our good friends at the Echo Conference to give away a website plus 1 year of hosting to some lucky early registrant to this year’s Echo Conference.
For those who have never been to to Echo Conference, you have to check it out. We partner with the team there any chance we get… They’re totally our peeps. The conference is geared around technology and the church, with awesome speakers and breakout sessions. Plus, if you register early, you get in the running for a brand spanking new website from Clover (soon to be equipped with the new Greenhouse 2.0 coming free to all existing customers). Read More…
We really like what the people over at Vox have done with their site, or should we say what they haven’t done to their site. Their artistic direction is the perfect example of a ‘less is more’ approach and it really seems to be working well for them. Vox is not afraid to use the ‘white space’ that the Kairos design has to offer which is very important for any website design for a few reasons. Firstly, the blank space on their site allows for the rest of the content, such as photos and text, to be more prominent on the page. Secondly, they let the design go hand in hand with their philosophy of stripping away any unneeded elements and looking at the core of church, being people. Overall, a great illustration of a minimal and super clean site.
To help launch and bring attention to his new book release, we decided to do a “little” giveaway through Stuff Christians Like. We’re giving away a MacBook Pro… It’s a pretty rad giveaway, and it’s super easy to enter and win.
Here is the 2nd and final video showing what it’s going to be like to edit your media player on the new Greenhouse 2.0 coming out on April 28th (next month!). In this video I just show what it’s like to add media items to your player. Check it out:
We’ve just posted the latest in our little featured video series: the new calendar.
Everything has been updated and polished, and I think you’ll agree that we’ve upped the level of quality in this new version. There’s also a major new feature available: repeating events. We know that it was one of the most annoying things left out of the original greenhouse, and we’re really happy about the fact that you’ll never need to update 35 events again when something like your Sunday Service time changes.
There are also a bunch of little improvements: events now sort by time correctly, email addresses turn into links, you can specify start and end times, and have events that span multiple days. And you can also now link an event’s location to a map. And like the new media player, you have a lot more control over the color scheme! Read More…
