Posted on April 6th, 2009 under Randomisms by Jim with 5 comments.Hey guys,
Jim & Ben wrote an article for Collide magazine that is definitely worth the read: “Top Five Ways to Build a Bad Church Website.”
If you subscribe to the magazine, check it out on page 48. For the online version, click here.

Well, winners to be exact.
We couldn’t just give one site away when there were so many great entries, so we decided to crown 3 winners. Here they are:
Saanich Baptist Church (Victoria, British Columbia)
Submitted by – Nick Johnson
St. Andrews Church (Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong)
Submitted by – Brian Lee
UTurn Angleton (Angleton, Texas)
Submitted by – Randy Henson
Congrats, guys. We were really proud of you all… Not necessarily proud of your websites, but proud of you for being willing to make a much-needed change.
There were some pretty bad sites… I would give you screen shots, but my computer screen might melt if I placed them on this blog entry. After reviewing them all, we decided to give every entry a door prize of $100 off a future Clover site. Hopefully this will help point everyone in the right direction.
Thanks for everyone who participated, and thanks to Collide for making it happen.

Even if they take my iTunes library and target me better with advertising (which they promise not to do). It’s totally worth it to have a playlist based solely off of Jens Lekman’s song “Sipping On The Sweet Nectar”.
Posted on January 14th, 2009 under Randomisms by Jim with no comments. This Friday marked a new age at Clover. We had our 1st Annual Christmas Extravaganza. To sum it up, it was pretty much pure awesomeness (yes, that is a word). The afternoon consisted of tri-tip and ribs, the exchanging of gifts, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe on the XBox 360, and some good old fashioned kick’n it. To top it off, our spouses were able to come and thus pushed the party into history as the best Clover party ever.
Here’s the picture to prove it.
Ben and I are pretty sure that we have the best team ever assembled. We are so proud to be a part of such a great group of people doing amazing things for the Kingdom. Go Clover!
Merry Christmas everyone.
Oh yeah- for all the gentleman out there who are jealous of my stache (Ben)… All it takes is a little patience and testosterone.

They publish a bi-monthly magazine that does an amazing job in highlighting how technology is being used in the church to further the Gospel. You can see some of their stuff online at www.collidemagazine.com. We met the guys from Collide a couple of months ago at the Echo Conference. Great peeps…
Ben and I wrote an article for them that should be in the next issue… You should totally check it out- I think we just might get a Pulitzer Prize for it. Scott and Ashley, see what you can do.
