Davis & Sons Construction is a solid business that has been working in their community for over 25 years. They just recently have created a web presence for their business using Clover and we want to commend them on how great the site is looking. They have some excellent use of photos that demonstrate their amazing work as well as profiles for each of the people that make up the Davis & Sons team. Everything on the website is clear and concise, which is great for the visitor to be able to locate the information they need while understanding what Davis & Sons Construction is all about. A well put together site from people who put stuff together well.

The MacDiarmid Company has created a site that not only displays a sharp and professional demeanor with great photos and colors, but they understand what the customer needs when they visit their site. This is what is known as information architecture and well designed information architecture is created to effectively meet the user’s needs as they navigate through your site. The MacDiarmid Company has taken a minimal approach with their navigation which presents their site to the user in a very fluid manner. Abby Mae & the Homeschool Boys are a folk band that hails from Washington and we not only love what they have done to their website but we also love the music they make. Abby Mae & the Homeschool Boys have created a site through the simple use of a font and black and white photos, which gives their site a vintage and untreated style. The whole website embodies the folk roots of their music and overall is extremely simple but effective for the user to navigate. Be sure to check out the site and to give their music a listen, you won’t regret it.

Romp Australia is an awesome organization and they have an equally awesome site to backup their company. This site embodies everything about kids, youthfulness and vitality. From the moment that you visit the site you can see the spirit of the company through the use of great colors as well as photos which match their branding. Color usage can make or break any design, if you go too saturated than the colors are blinding and if you try for a minimal approach (black and white) everything can end up looking generic. Romp Australia aims to teach kids to have a love for fitness and health and we have to say that the website is a refreshing example of a company that allows their design to follow their philosophy.

Preva Salon is a place that prides itself in being professional, sharp and chic, and their website expresses that notion. We particularly enjoy their Stylists page, where a visitor can read each of the stylists’ profiles and get to know Preva Salon before they visit. Overall, the site has a great use of photography and the site design Kinetic suits their business very well since it has a very modern appeal.

As far as school websites go I would say that St. John’s Lutheran School has got it in the bag. For any school, a strong web presence is crucial in order to give the students the tools and resources that they need as well as to create a community while students are away from the school grounds. An effective way of creating “culture” is to give your organization a place where people feel connected and want to come back to visit; a resourceful and well designed website does just that. With vibrant pictures, an excellent overall theme and a connected community, St. John’s Lutheran School has site that makes us want to quit our jobs and enroll at this school.

The first thing that really sticks out about Church Project’s site is that they are not afraid to experiment with their photos and photo composition. They embrace the use of subdued and muted colors throughout the entire site, not necessarily choosing to stick with just black and white photos. This gives the site an interesting vibe and draws your eye to the subtleties of their photos. Another thing that we appreciate is the attention to the colors and the font usage in the logo. Not only do the colors in the logo match the navigation, but the font used in the logo compliments the navigation font really well. Also, this organization is using nearly all of the features that Clover has to offer, from linking with photos to using the podcasting feature in their media player. Overall, these guys are definitely using their Clover site to it’s full potential.

Cornerstone Moorpark is one of the local churches near the Clover office and they have just recently switched their site to one of the new designs, Brighton, and we have to say that it is looking awesome. Not only did they do a simple site switch but they also created one of the most well rounded Clover sites we have yet to see, with relevant graphics, excellent photos of their church fellowship, and some videos of their ministry and it’s progress. Their website is a great example of a church who not only who places a large emphasis on their web presence, but a church that gives their members a culture to identify with and supplies them with the tools to create a community. We highly recommend checking out their site for some inspiration.

We really like what the people over at Vox have done with their site, or should we say what they haven’t done to their site. Their artistic direction is the perfect example of a ‘less is more’ approach and it really seems to be working well for them. Vox is not afraid to use the ‘white space’ that the Kairos design has to offer which is very important for any website design for a few reasons. Firstly, the blank space on their site allows for the rest of the content, such as photos and text, to be more prominent on the page. Secondly, they let the design go hand in hand with their philosophy of stripping away any unneeded elements and looking at the core of church, being people. Overall, a great illustration of a minimal and super clean site.

This has to be one of most unique and well designed sites that we have yet to see. The large welcome graphic introduces the site perfectly and really gives you an effective message of what Circle J Church is all about. While on the ‘Home’ page take a look at the leather background that they created for the navigation bar at the bottom, and the detail of the arrow that points to their ‘Events’ page is a great way of directing users to an important page on your site. These guys took such an awesome approach for one of our most unique sites.
