Forms Page Preview
Lately there’s been an uprising of questions on our blog about the progress of our new forms feature. We’ve been working hard on it for a while now, and since a lot of you have been asking about it, we thought it’d be good to give you a quick glance at our progress to date. We’ve been hesitant to show it simply because it looks like it’s just about done… But in true Clover style, we want to make sure it works perfectly and all the glitches are fixed before we release it just so you don’t get frustrated. So to answer your question as vaguely as possible before you ask it, the forms feature will be released to all Clover customers “soon”.
We still have a bit more work to do on it, but here’s your first look at the new forms feature:

We currently use wufoo because we can accept payments. Will that be integrated into the even registration option that I saw?

Hey Nick- If you need to accept payments off your form, you’ll need to keep using Wufoo/Paypal. This will be great for everything else…
Excellent! We are really looking forward to this feature!! For now we use JotForm, but we’ll love having a form right on our site. Thanks Clover!
We are heavy Wufoo users and love their service. This though… this rocks! Awesome job Jim and Co. Can’t wait to start using the Clover form builder!
Thanks for the preview. I am one of those ministry freaks who are driving you crazy about when Forms Pages will be ready. I’m not upset that its not quite ready yet—I’m just so stoked for the feature. Thanks for the update!

Love the new forms concept. Great options and appears very easy to set up. However, we really, really need a payment option linked to the forms. Isn’t there anyway to incorporate Paypal into the new forms
So where do the submitted forms go? An email? A spreadsheet?
Will there be a way to view the collected results from the form other than individual e-mails?
Killer. One question. How secure will it all be?
Looking great guys. Have you thought about linking these to a spreadsheet that keeps track of all the “registrants”? Similar to Google Forms? Thanks!

Payment integration is needed for a few of our forms (so we’ll keep Wufoo too), but I LOVE the fact that we’ll be able to easily integrate simple forms into our site. More importantly, I am again impressed by the Clover team for their communication. Thank you all!
Any clue when? I need to put the vacation bible school registion form up soon. It would be really nice to get this e-mail form up over the next 3 weeks or so. Need a beta tester?
I hate to be the nay-sayer but this seems to be missing a couple pretty sweet options that wufoo offers: payment integration (super crucial) and RULES! (if they select this option the alert goes to me, if they select another it goes to someone else)… ANY POSSIBLE way this can be added?!
Looks great. We currently use a form for conference registrations that requires the user to be able to specify the “quantity” of a specific field. Eg. [2]x Friday Dinner. Will this be possible?

Thanks for all your comments and excitement about this future feature. I thought it’d be good to try to address some questions/concerns about this up coming feature…
I know a lot of you have real, definitive needs with a form feature for your organization. As with all our features, we have to walk a very hard line between adding new and cool features, and keeping the UI (the Greenhouse) simple enough for everyone to use. The forms feature will already be (even stripped back to it’s most simplest state) the hardest component for a user to create in our CMS. We’ve been walking really gently into this arena just so we don’t lose our users who already have no idea what a “form” is, but know they need a simple way of gathering information online.
With that being said, each of your comments and requests are totally being noted. This can be a feature that evolves as our communities needs evolve. Thanks again for your patience and support.

This looks great! I’m one of those people who periodically email to ask when this feature will be ready. Yes, it definitely looks worth the wait. I’m so excited about using this new forms feature. Great job, Clover!
This is great! We’ve been using Google Docs for our forms, but this will allow visitors to never have to leave our site. I can’t wait until this features is available! Thanks for the great work, Clover.

I’m a little disappointed its not already ready. My church is screaming for more features from Clover. I keep saying its coming, its coming. So can you guys get it her already. Besides that gripe thanks for everything else!
Will the submitter of the completed form be able to print what is being submitted?

The person who is filling out the form will not actually be able to print their answers or see the actual form once it is submitted, but the person who receives the form will.

Mary, thanx for the reply. I was hoping parishioners would be able to print a copy of, say, completed event/class registration forms for their records or to bring with them to the event if needed. Thanx again, looking forward to seeing this new addition!
