Compare to Clover: Intro
Tomorrow marks the 1 year anniversary of Clover. I’m not sure if you typically send presents for corporate anniversaries, but you should.
Anyway, over this past year there’s been a rising trend in the church/ministry website world. People are beginning to compare themselves to Clover as an alternative website solution for churches. Typically, they are just comparing prices, and because sometimes they’re cheaper (at least up front) they want you to find them as a “better” solution. I think most companies might be a little nervous about a trend like this… But here’s the deal- if you are in the market for a new website for your ministry:
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE COMPARE CLOVER TO OTHER OPTIONS.
I’m not one to use bold and caps lightly, so please hear what I’m saying. We really want you to compare Clover to other possible solutions for your ministry. We have 2 reasons for this:
1. We created Clover because there was nothing out there for churches that provided a content management system that anyone could use (without being a web dude or needing a 3 hour training session), that still maintained beauty, elegance and affordability.
We really believe that once you see our sites and demo what it’s like to edit a Clover website, you’ll get it.
2. Clover really might not be the best solution for your church. If you have specific needs for your ministry that aren’t found in Clover, you need to find the best solution for your ministry. If you need a primarily blogging platform, by all means go for something like Word Press. If you’re looking for a site with e-commerce and email marketing, use something like GoodBarry for your website solution. But we really believe that if you are looking for a way to get your ministry out there on the internet, you won’t find a better solution than Clover.
We love having people compare to us. When people compare themselves to us, they are basically calling us the market standard. It’s like when other companies come out with a new MP3 player, calling it “The Next iPod”. Apple loves it when people do that, because it’s acknowledging the iPod as the market standard.
Over the next couple blog posts, I’ll help you compare (about as non-biased as I can possibly be) Clover to other possible solutions. I will address the major comparisons most companies make to Clover. Hopefully this will really help you make the best and most accurate decision about your ministry’s website solution.
At the end of each post, I’m going to direct you to demo everything… From what the website looks like on the front end, to what it’s like to actually edit your site. This is really the best way to compare solutions.
